MAKE A DAY OF IT!
See the film during opening weekend, meet the Silver Belles, then enjoy an afternoon in the Village, or an evening of jazz at the Blue Note, the Village Vanguard or The Cajun.  Dine at a neighborhood restaurant (note the discounts offered July 21-27), or walk deeper into the West Village and find an abundance of local cafés and restaurants. You might get take-out and picnic in nearby Washington Square or Union Square Parks.

You'll also find great shopping in Village shops, or walk up Sixth Ave. to the bigger stores (Old Navy, Bed Bath & Beyond, TJ Max).  Bargain hunters can visit Filene's Basement on 14th St. or Loehmans at 7th Ave. & 16th St.  Bargain book-hunters will enjoy The Strand on Broadway at W. 11th Street.  On Friday or Saturday, visit the Greenmarket in Union Square, where local farmers sell home-grown products.
