The Event
The Apollo Theatre, the Harlem Film Festival and Toots Crackin Productions are joining together to make an evening to remember. Mercedes Ellington directs a tribute program with some of the best tap dancers in the world, with music provided by Jazzberry Jam!. Featured is BEEN RICH ALL MY LIFE, a delightful new film that gives us the rare opportunity to see history through the eyes of five of the last surviving chorus dancers of Harlem’s golden age. The evening lets us honor their legacy and that of their peers, and preserve it for future generations.
